Machine CC 50 "Sunshield applicator" for applying a sunshield to the beer crate

The aim of this project was to dispense printed blanks, which serve as sun protection, onto beer crates and then press them under the crown caps of the 4 corner bottles. For this purpose, the blanks are shingled from a magazine and dispensed into a placement unit. This places the sunshade on the crate and it is then pressed under the crown caps with a pressure unit.

Our highly flexible adaptation to customer requirements opens up scope for special machines.

Functional process

First, the crates, which arrive at a distance of 200 mm, are fed into our chain feed via an acceleration belt. At the same time, the blanks are pulled out of the main magazine. They are shingled and run on the magazine belt. This belt runs into the magazine of the loading unit. Sensors are used here to ensure that there are always enough blanks, but not too many, to maintain a certain back pressure. This is important for the feeding unit to function properly.

A sunshield is pulled out of the magazine and dispensed onto the beer crate below. The crate then runs under the press-in station. There, 2 crates are processed at the same time. The blanks in both crates are pressed under the 4 crown caps of the corner bottles. As soon as this is done, the beer crates are finished and they run out of the machine.
