Clip wrapping machine CM 120 with transport technology in infeed and outfeed

Schuy + Folmeg Maschinenbau GmbH develops customized filling and packaging solutions for its customers. This was also the case for TURM-Sahne GmbH, which was looking for a clip packaging machine that could clip several bottle sizes in different formations. A machine was developed to meet these requirements.

The Schuy + Folmeg team also assisted in the design of the clips. The clips were designed and tested over several rounds. This ensured that the clips could be processed well in the machine, were stable enough and also met the customer's aesthetic requirements.

The clip packaging machine presented here is designed as a two-lane machine. This means that there are two bottle conveyors as well as two folding sections including magazines to be loaded.

Functional process:

The bottles are transported into the machine in a single lane. With the help of the distribution starwheels, they are distributed onto two webs and continue to be processed in two webs to produce the 1x3 format. In the 2x3 format, the two webs are brought together under the same folding section and processed together.

The magazines are manually loaded with the blanks for the clips. In the next step, they are removed from the magazine and inserted into the folding section. Here the clips are glued and folded. The finished glued clips are transferred to the bottles and pressed onto the bottles in the final step. In order to be able to guarantee the high cycle rate, two clips are pressed onto the bottles at a time.

With this project, TURM-Sahne was supplied with a flexible clipping machine that can be used to combine different bottle sizes in various formats.
